About

12987036_10153416014985925_3734434173560940591_nMy name is Jonathan. I am 28 years old and a huge lover of all things fantasy, especially Dwarfs. I have been painting miniatures for about 12 years now. My humble beginnings saw me painting small pewter figures for my local Dungeon and Dragons campaign, and soon expanded to include Warmachine MkI. I played Protectorate of Menoth and got my first experiences fully painting a large army and I was hooked.

I had always wanted to get into Warhammer, but at the time the game just seemed too expensive and even more complicated than Warmachine. So for the time being I avoided it. I finally decided to take the plunge with the release of Age of Sigmar and bought my first batch of Dwarfs. (Now called Dispossessed.) The simplified rules are what dragged me in to the game itself, but I was very disappointed with what Games Workshop did with all the lore.

I’m not exactly sure where my passion for Dwarfs came from. I know that I my father also loved them and had wanted to get into Warhammer himself, but did not have enough time to apply himself to the hobby to make it worth while. Perhaps I picked it up from him, or perhaps getting older has given me a fondness for alcohol and those who enjoy it. Or maybe, just maybe, I am secretly envious of their beards because I myself cannot grow one.

Regardless the reason, my goal is to provide both interesting and quality content about all things Dwarf and fantasy related. I want to improve my painting technique to a level where I can compete in painting competitions and maybe even one day commission my work. I will do my best to post at least once a week, though sometimes my work schedule can become quite hectic.

With all this being said, I hope you enjoy my posts and urge you to subscribe to my blog if you enjoy what you see.
